Alix is a highly experienced cranial osteopath who specialises in providing gentle effective osteopathic treatment for a wide range of patients. Alix takes a compassionate approach in helping her patients, especially sensitive individuals. She understands the unique challenges faced by people who have a history of traumatic injuries and those suffering from chronic conditions. She is dedicated to offering them gentle and effective treatment to support their recovery.
In her practice Alix treats a wide range of conditions including pelvic pain, migraines, headaches and TMJ dysfunction. She is particularly adept at assisting individuals who have sought answers and treatments from various modalities without finding a solution. Alix is committed to relieving the pain of her patients and improving their quality of life. She is a good listener and works with her patients to get to the root of their problem.
Alix has special interest in paediatric osteopathy. She enjoys providing care to babies and children. She combines her experience and post graduate training to offer valuable guidance to mothers and treatment for babies experiencing feeding difficulties or settling problems. She has experience in assisting babies with tongue tie, both before and after the procedure.
Alix enjoys treating pregnant women. She is experienced in addressing the various discomforts and pain that commonly arise during pregnancy, including back and rib pain, pubic synthesis and pelvic symptoms. Alix is committed to providing comprehensive support to expectant mothers as they prepare for the birthing process. She helps to promote well-being throughout their pregnancy as well as providing post-partum support.
Alix practices a gentle treatment style, avoiding manipulation and focusing on indirect osteopathic techniques. Patients remain fully clothed during their treatment, ensuring their comfort and preserving their privacy. She accepts Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referrals from GPs which provide affordable access to osteopathic care for eligible patients.
Alix graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Masters in Health (Osteopathy) in 2003. Since that time she has worked in private practice in both Melbourne and Sydney. She has continued to build her knowledge with post graduate courses in her areas of interest. She swims regularly and is the mother of an delightful primary aged son.
